Wilkodontics®

Wilkodontics, otherwise known as accelerate osteogenic orthodontics, is a surgical procedure invented to reduce the time needed for orthodontic treatment and improve the outcome. Through this procedure, the existing bone is stressed through small cuts and a bone graft is placed over it. Then, the teeth are moved with a faster orthodontic treatment approach. This procedure was developed by Drs. Thomas and William Wilcko in 1995. The picture shows a patient for whom we used this surgical treatment before orthodontics and the outcome after his orthodontic treatment.
