Meet Dr. Niloofar Zarkesh

Dr. Niloofar Zarkesh DDS, MS is a Board Certified Periodontist specialist and the Founder of Perio4U Periodontics and Dental Implant Center where she diagnoses, prevents, and treats periodontal diseases and replaces missing teeth with dental implants. She is the leader of the Perio4U Periodontal Practice and manages the practice and its employees, so they can provide the best possible quality service in a caring environment.

She has achieved a Diplomate status from the American Board of Periodontology and is the Past President of Santa Clara County Dental Society (SCCDS) with over 1700 dentist members.

Dr. Niloofar Zarkesh attended the University of Southern California (USC) Periodontics Specialty Program from 1995 to 1998. She obtained her Certificate in Periodontics and Masters in Craniofacial Biology after this program. She attended a Periodontics Preceptorship Program at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) from 1993 to 1994. She got her dentistry (D.D.S.) degree from the National University of Iran in 1992. She has been licensed to practice dentistry in the State of California since 1996 and has been practicing as a periodontist in Southern and Northern California since her graduation.

Dr. Zarkesh started her Perio4U Practice in 2003 after moving from Los Angeles to San Jose. She relocated her practice in 2013 to a new building close to Santana Row and Valley Fair Mall. She has more than 20 years of experience in the field of Periodontology and has helped thousands of patients achieve optimum health and a beautiful smile through surgical and non-surgical periodontal treatments as well as dental implant placement.

She taught at the USC Residency program when she lived in Los Angeles and provides continuing education programs to dentists and dental hygienists regularly.

She is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, California Dental Association and Santa Clara County Dental Society.

Her main areas of interest are:

Esthetic gingival recontouring and treating gummy smiles.
Gingival grafting procedures to enhance esthetics and function.
Keeping teeth through treatment of periodontal diseases with surgical and non-surgical approaches.
Extraction of teeth and bone grafting as needed.
Dental implant replacement of the missing teeth, to restore esthetics and function.

Dr. Zarkesh is married and has a son and a daughter. Her hobbies are photography, snow skiing, and volunteering for the dental community.
